Groovy Grove

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

A Family Grove Since the 1960s

For more than 60 years, Akaki Grove has been a place where family, nature, and tradition come together. What began as a citrus grove has gradually evolved into a thriving landscape of olive and citrus trees. It started from a family's love of land and nature, and the desire to spend time together away from the busy town, and remained an agricultural haven in the ever- expanding urban areas that sprawled and grew all around.

Today, we care for over 2,800 trees—including more than 1,900 olive trees and 900 citrus trees—using organic and regenerative farming practices that protect biodiversity, enrich the soil, and preserve the grove for generations to come.

Every bottle of olive oil reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and respect for nature.

Our Philosophy

At Akaki Grove, we believe that health, sustainability, and agriculture are deeply connected. Caring for the soil, protecting biodiversity, and producing nutrient-rich food are not separate goals—they're part of the same ecosystem.

This philosophy guides every decision we make, from how we care for our trees to how we educate the next generation.

Experience the Grove

We're excited to share that, in the near future, Akaki Grove will be opening its gates to visitors.

Our vision is to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and discover the journey from tree to table. Guests will have the opportunity to walk through our olive and citrus orchards, learn about our organic and regenerative farming practices, taste our early harvest extra virgin olive oils, and discover the story behind our Kot-Kot Cy sustainability project.

Whether you're passionate about food, sustainability, or simply looking to experience the beauty of the Cypriot countryside, we hope to welcome families, schools, food lovers, and curious travellers to the grove soon.

Interested in visiting? We'd love to hear from you. Contact us to register your interest and be among the first to hear when visits become available.

Meet Elena

Akaki Grove is led by Elena, whose passion for health, sustainability, and the natural world shapes everything we do.

After studying Geography at King's College London, Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics, and Psychology, Elena's exposure to the field of mental health inspired a deeper interest in the relationship between food, wellbeing, and the environment. She later completed further studies in Business Sustainability Management through the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Moreover, as an ITF Level 1 Tennis Coach, Elena has a longstanding interest in health, sport, and nutrition, believing that how we feed ourselves is as important to our wellbeing as staying active and connected to nature.

Today, she and her team combine her interest in science with sustainable farming practices, using principles of organic agriculture, agroecology, and permaculture to produce exceptional extra virgin olive oil while protecting biodiversity and soil health.

With her work at Akaki Grove, Elena co-founded Kot-Kot Cy, a circular economy initiative that inspires children to learn about sustainability,  soil health, biodiversity, animal welfare,  food production and nutrition.

She believes that healthier soils lead to healthier food, healthier people, and a healthier planet.

"At the intersection of health, environment, and sustainability lies a framework capable of improving the wellbeing of people while protecting the planet that sustains us."
